Leo has been working for Jungle Boss since November 2016 as a trekking tour guide. Born in Nghe An province Leo came to Phong Nha in November 2016 when one of our former tour guides introduced him to Jungle Boss. Previously he worked as a waiter in The Old Quarter, Ha Noi. Being a guide was a great chance for Leo to practice and improve his English skills, work-out while trekking, learn new survival tips in the wild, experience different cultures by meeting people from all over the world – all while earning money. Leo felt that being a tour guide transformed his life and made him a better person. He feels that Jungle Boss Company is actually the best working environment he’s had so far. Now Leo has changed roles and is part of the Sales and Marketing team where he gets to put all his skills to good use. Leo loves his families -the one in the North of Vietnam and his Jungle Boss one. His passions remain trekking and caving, he’s a huge fan of meat, especially chicken, and he loves music – he plays the guitar, can sing and has taken up photography. As a person who has been living in Phong Nha for nearly 2 years and working in tourism, Leo hopes Phong Nha will become an attractive destination for tourists, especially for caving lovers, especially as plenty more caves will be found which helps increase the amount of jobs for locals, so they can have a better living. And hopefully, along with the growth of tourism, people and local government will also help to protect the nature. Leo hopes to travel Asia and further, he’d also love to have his own business one day.
